Hi, I'm a K-pop fan living in Korea. I've been a fan of 2ne1 for a long time, but it's a pity that Park Bom's face keeps changing. I'll talk about it today.

If you’ve been a fan of K-pop for a while, you probably know Park Bom from 2NE1. She has such a distinct voice—emotional, powerful, and instantly recognizable. But these days, when people talk about her, it’s not always about her music. A lot of the conversation tends to focus on how she looks—her makeup, and whether or not she’s had plastic surgery.

Honestly, it makes me a little sad. Because behind all those headlines and online comments, there’s a woman who’s been through so much. She’s lived most of her adult life in the public eye, where every little change in her face becomes a topic of debate. Imagine how exhausting that must be.

Yes, it’s true that Bom’s appearance has changed over the years. And yes, she clearly puts a lot of effort into her makeup and maybe even cosmetic procedures. But can we really blame her? In an industry that places so much value on looking a certain way, it’s no surprise that idols feel pressure to meet impossible standards.

Some people say she’s “obsessed” with beauty—but maybe what we’re really seeing is someone trying to feel confident in a world that constantly picks her apart. I think we forget sometimes that celebrities are human too. They have insecurities, just like we do.

Park Bom is still the same artist who gave us beautiful songs and unforgettable performances. I hope one day people will remember her more for her voice than for her appearance. And in the meantime, I hope she finds peace in being exactly who she wants to be—inside and out.
