G-dragon media exhibition review

Hi I'm a K-pop fan living in Korea!

I've been putting off writing a review of the Hyundai G-Dragon pop-up that took place last month, and I'm finally writing it now.

I never thought of a G-Dragon pop-up, but it was really cool.

I went to the Hyundai Department Store on March 8th and saw that they were under construction for the G-Dragon media exhibition, so I went back the next day.

G-Dragon pop-up period:

  1. March 9th - March 11th
  2. March 12th - March 19th

Time

  1. Mon~thu 10:30 ~ 20:00
  2. Fri~Sun 10:30 ~ 20:30

There were a ton of people at the G-Dragon pop-up store. Even though it was the weekend, there were still a lot of people. When I got to the checkout counter, everyone was already buying everything.

When I saw the G-Dragon pop-up hoodie, I really wanted one. My desire to buy it increased!

The hat was a pretty color and not common, so I wanted to buy more. I'm not the only one, right?

There was a limit on the number of purchases. I think it's because there are people who resell G-Dragon pop-up products and charge a higher price.

I think the real problem with G-Dragon's strike resale was that it was limited to 1 to 3 per item.

The G-Dragon towel that I wanted the most. This is a G-Dragon slogan towel and costs 15,000 won. I was surprised because the price was cheaper than I thought. At this price, I think I want to buy them all one by one.

I really wanted a G-Dragon hoodie so I bought it.

There was a limited edition MD product that was only sold for 3 days. I think this is the G-Dragon product that will be the most heavily resold.

There aren't as many different types of products for sale as I thought, but the prices are reasonable and I like that they have a limited quantity for purchase.

You have to make a reservation to go to the G-Dragon pop-up to buy it, and if you didn't make a reservation, you couldn't buy it. G-Dragon is an artist who has many fans all over the world with good music. I'm also a fan of his. The song Too Bad, which was released a while ago, gained even more attention because Karina from the K-pop girl group Espa made a special appearance in the music video.

G-Dragon is a fashion icon, and his fashion is always in the spotlight and leads trends. So, I heard that he set a new record for the pop-up store held at Hyundai Department Store. I will tell you what it is.

  1. Ten-day offline store reservations sold out in 20 minutes
  2. The total number of visitors to the exhibition over the ten days was 55,000, the largest crowd ever
  3. An unprecedented scale that encompasses the entire space of The Hyundai Seoul, including Sound Forest and Epic Seoul on the 5th floor, Tune on the 6th floor, and Iconic Square on the 2nd basement floor.
  4. Daisy Garden, where daisy balloons fill the space centered around a 7m tall giant daisy symbol and the scent of daisies stimulates the five senses

The exhibition ended successfully and they said they are heading towards global expansion, so it seems like they are planning pop-up stores in other countries as well. It seems like overseas fans who were unable to visit the pop-up store in Korea will soon be able to see the G-Dragon pop-up store, so they can look forward to it.
